Simple Calories is a calorie tracking app that respects your privacy. We minimize data collection and only transmit limited, non-personal data when you use optional features.

Data Storage

All data you enter in the app (food entries, calorie goals, and settings) is stored locally on your device only. This data is not sent to our servers.

We do not collect:

• Personal information
• Usage analytics
• Location data
• Device identifiers

Third-Party Services

Simple Calories uses the USDA FoodData Central API (https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/) to provide optional calorie lookup suggestions. When you use the calorie lookup feature:

• Only the food search term you enter is sent to this service
• No personal information, device identifiers, or user data is transmitted
• This feature is optional; you can manually enter food data without using the lookup

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally, you can delete it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
